KindredPics

Your family's faces, together.

KindredPics finds the faces in your family photos, groups the ones that are the same person, and lets you put a name to them. Name someone once and the app carries that name across every other photo they appear in. Everything happens on your own computer. No account, no upload, no internet needed — your photos never leave the machine.

Ask for a copy

KindredPics isn't public — it goes out to family and friends one at a time. Tell me who you are and I'll send you the download link.

This is where the download link goes.

Windows 10 & 11 · about 223 MB · nothing to install

Once the link arrives

  1. Download the file. It's a single zip.
  2. Unzip it — right-click the file and choose “Extract All”. Pick somewhere easy, like your Desktop.
  3. Open the folder and double-click START. KindredPics opens in your browser. That's it.

Why Windows may warn you

Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” box for any program it hasn't seen before. KindredPics is new and isn't signed by a big company, so you'll probably see it. Click More info, then Run anyway.

Your photos stay yours

There is no cloud here. The face recognition runs on your own machine, using a model that ships inside the download. Nothing is sent anywhere — you can unplug the internet and it still works.

The app starts completely empty. It has none of anyone else's photos, people, or family tree in it — just yours, once you add them.
